- 2 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, sliced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar with mother
Instructions
- Boil 500 ml of water in a saucepan. Add ginger at this time.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add butterfly pea flowers. Steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to remove the flowers or leave them for a rustic presentation.
- Stir in honey, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar. Watch the color transform to a vibrant purple.
- Serve hot for a warm experience or iced after cooling slightly.
Notes
This recipe makes 2 servings. Adjust the amount of honey to taste—1/2 teaspoon per cup works well. Drink in the morning on an empty stomach for best results.
