- 1 packet unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional)
- Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- • In a large mixing bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over 1 cup of cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- • Pour 1 cup of boiling water into the bowl and use a wire whisk to dissolve the gelatin completely.
- • Add the granulated sugar and pure vanilla extract, whisking until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and mix with a silicone spatula until evenly distributed.
- • Pour the mixture into a mold or individual serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
- • Once set, use a rubber spatula to gently loosen the edges and unmold the gelatin onto a serving plate.
- • Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.
- • Serve chilled and enjoy your refreshing gelatin dessert.
Notes
Avoid adding fresh pineapple, kiwi, or papaya as they contain enzymes that prevent gelatin from setting.
