Ingredients
2-3 packets (2-3 tablespoons) unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
1 1/2 cups liquid (water, broth, or juice)
Instructions
1. Using a small bowl and a measuring spoon, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over 1/2 cup of cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
2. Heat 1 1/2 cups of your chosen liquid in a small saucepan over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling. Use a kitchen thermometer to ensure it reaches the correct temperature.
3. Transfer the bloomed gelatin mixture to the saucepan with the hot liquid. Use a whisk to stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
4. Carefully pour the dissolved gelatin mixture into silicone molds or a glass serving dish using a liquid measuring cup for precision.
5. Place the molds or dish in the refrigerator and allow it to chill for at least 2-3 hours until fully set.
Notes
Avoid adding fresh pineapple, kiwi, or papaya as they contain enzymes that prevent gelatin from setting.
Serve chilled. Garnish with fresh fruit or a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
