Learn how to make a delicious fruit gelatin dessert with this easy recipe. Perfect for a refreshing and colorful treat any time of the year.

  • Total Time: 4
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 package (3 oz) flavored gelatin (any flavor)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 cup fresh fruit (such as berries, diced peaches, or grapes)
Optional: whipped cream for topping

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flavored gelatin powder with boiling water. Use a wire whisk to stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

2. Add the cold water to the mixture and stir gently with a silicone spatula until well combined.

3. Place the fresh fruit evenly in a round cake pan or a pie dish.

4. Pour the gelatin mixture over the fruit in the pan, ensuring the fruit is evenly distributed.

5. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 4 hours, or until the gelatin is fully set.

6. Once set, use a rubber spatula to loosen the edges of the gelatin from the pan.

7. Carefully invert the pan onto a serving plate or use an offset spatula to lift and serve individual portions.

8. Top with whipped cream if desired and serve chilled.

Notes

Avoid adding fresh pineapple, kiwi, or papaya as they contain enzymes that prevent gelatin from setting.
Serve chilled. Garnish with fresh fruit or a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
