Ingredients
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 medium Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced
1 orange, zested and juiced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 envelope (0.25 ounces) unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 cups water
Instructions
Combine cranberries, sugar, and 1 cup water in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
Cook for 5 minutes until cranberries burst, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and add diced apple, orange zest, lemon zest, orange juice, and lemon juice.
Simmer for 15 minutes until fruit is fully softened.
Bloom gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water for 1 minute.
Stir gelatin into the warm cranberry mixture until fully dissolved.
Cool mixture to room temperature, then transfer to serving dish.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set. Serve chilled.
Notes
For a smoother texture, blend the sauce before adding gelatin.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
