2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
1 cup cold water
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fresh fruit (optional)
Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1 cup of cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Use a whisk to slowly incorporate 2 cups of boiling water into the gelatin mixture until fully dissolved.
- Add honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring with a silicone spatula until well combined.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and mix gently with a wooden spoon.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or silicone molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Once set, remove from the molds or pan and cut into desired shapes using a chef knife.
- Serve with fresh fruit or enjoy as a standalone treat.
